Don't let the modest capacity fool you. The Gtech was designed with acoustic engineering to create an intimate, intimidating atmosphere that rivals much larger stadiums, with four steep stands positioned exceptionally close to the pitch. It sits in Brentford, West London, home of Premier League club Brentford — built on the site of a former railway yard, between the River Thames and the Kew Bridge area — and as an away fan, you'll feel every one of those 17,250 seats bearing down on you.

What a Trip Here Costs, in Numbers

Premier League tickets on Vivid Seats are listed for all 15 upcoming games, starting at $127 (Nottingham Forest, Oct 31); the priciest game to get into starts at $621 (Arsenal, Dec 2).

A 3-star or better hotel within 15 miles of the stadium runs from $114 a night, based on 1,199 hotels.

The airport for this trip is Heathrow (LHR), 8 miles from the stadium.

The next 12 months bring 15 visiting teams, all of them based within 300 miles. The longest trip: Newcastle United, 250 miles each way.

Ticket prices checked Oct 22; hotel rates checked Oct 9.

Ticket figures are each game's lowest listed price with estimated fees added. The hotel figure is the 25th-percentile nightly rate of the hotels sampled. Distances are straight-line, stadium to airport and stadium to stadium.

How to Get to Gtech Community Stadium (National Rail, Tube, Bus, Driving, Rideshare)

The train is the clear answer here. The closest station is Kew Bridge, just a short walk from the stadium, with trains running regularly from London Waterloo and services typically operating every 15 minutes on matchdays. The journey from Waterloo takes approximately 27 minutes. That's it — that's the move. Get to Waterloo, hop on a South Western Railway service, and you're practically at the turnstiles.

Gunnersbury Station on the District Line is the nearest Underground station and also has London Overground trains to both Stratford and Richmond , but note that it is not currently opening until one hour after the final whistle, and during busy times there may be a long wait to access Gunnersbury as it has a small platform and access will have to be restricted when there isn't space to join the platform safely. Useful for getting there; a headache for getting out.

Bus routes 110, 237, 267, and N9 all stop close to the stadium and are wheelchair accessible, making them ideal for local travel. If you're coming from Ealing Broadway, the 65 is your friend.

Flying in? Heathrow Airport is located just eight miles away from the Gtech Community Stadium — unquestionably the best airport if you're flying in from out of the country. It's roughly 21 minutes away by car (traffic dependent). A taxi takes around 18 minutes and costs roughly £40–50.

For rideshare, there is no official taxi drop-off space near the stadium; the closest drop-off is on Capital Interchange Way.

Driving? The stadium is located very near the start of the M4 by the Chiswick Flyover and close to the Chiswick Roundabout joining the North Circular Road (A406) and South Circular Road (A205). But seriously — take the train.

Gtech Community Stadium Parking: Lots, Prices, and Best Options

Parking is extremely limited and must be pre-booked through official partners, as there is no general matchday parking and strict local restrictions apply. Controlled Parking Zones will be in operation in residential streets near the stadium, so fans should avoid parking on nearby streets.

Official stadium parking typically runs £15–25 , and it must be booked in advance — no cash payments are accepted for reservable parking. Car parks are located within a 25-minute walk of the stadium. Platforms like JustPark and YourParkingSpace list nearby driveways and private spaces, which can work out cheaper than official lots if you book far enough ahead. The Goat Wharf car park is often cited as a reasonable option for location.

Also worth knowing: the ULEZ expanded across all London boroughs in August 2023. Vehicles that don't meet emission standards are charged £12.50 per day to drive inside the zone. Check before you go.

Where to Stay Near Gtech Community Stadium

The Clayton Hotel Chiswick is the closest four-star option, just an 11-minute walk (0.5 miles) from the stadium , and it comes with a restaurant and parking — a genuine rarity in this pocket of West London. It's the sensible choice if you want to walk to the ground and not think about a taxi.

The Kew Gardens and Richmond area — a 10–15 minute journey by rail or District Line — offers better-value accommodation with a lot more character. You'll find boutique B&Bs and the occasional aparthotel along the Richmond riverside, and the journey to the ground is straightforward. The Stayo Kew Gardens is very close to the action.

If you'd rather stay central and commute out on matchday, the 4-star ibis London Earls Court is about 40 minutes away by public transport — and Earls Court puts you within easy reach of the District Line and everything else London offers at night. Prices in that zone tend to run £90–160 per night depending on the fixture.

Best Bars and Restaurants Near Gtech Community Stadium

Tap on the Line is right by Kew Bridge station and ideal for a quick pint before you walk the few minutes to the ground. It's the de facto away fan pub of choice — convenient, no-fuss, and close enough that you won't be rushing.

The Botanist is a modern pub with a focus on gin and cocktails, as well as modern British food, located at 3–5 Kew Green, Richmond. Kew Green is a pleasant spot to spend a couple of hours pre-match — several pubs cluster around the Green, including the Cricketers, the Greyhound, and the Coach & Horses, which are all closest to Kew Green and typically welcome away fans.

The Pilot is a microbrewery with a taproom where you can sample their own beers, located at 56 Wellesley Road, Chiswick. The Gunnersbury on Chiswick High Road serves a wide selection of ales, beers, and wines as well as an extensive food menu with live sport on TV screens — a proper all-in away fan venue.

For food, the Kebab & Grill cluster on Brentford High Street is the closest thing to old-school matchday fuel outside the ground — fast, filling, and open early and late on matchdays. One Over the Ait, overlooking the waterfront, is a step up — a solid spot for a burger and pint in a riverside setting.

Gtech Community Stadium Bag Policy, Gates, and Game Day Tips

Supporters are strongly advised not to bring any bags to the Gtech Community Stadium. If a bag is necessary, it must be searched prior to entry. Only small bags and rucksacks are permitted if within 34cm x 24cm x 11cm with a maximum capacity of 10 litres. Bags must be small enough to fit comfortably under a seat without impacting other supporters, and all bags will be searched upon entry.

Visiting supporters are located in the East Stand and access the stadium through entrances F, G and H. Turnstiles open 90 minutes before kick-off. Away fans must access the ground via the railway bridge from Capital Interchange Way to the East Stand — follow the stewards, they're well-positioned and helpful.

The Gtech is a cashless venue — bring your bank card or contactless payment methods. All major debit and credit cards are accepted, as well as wearable payment options including Apple Pay and Google Pay. The stadium operates a strict no re-entry policy — if you leave during a match, you will not be allowed to return.

Gtech Community Stadium Accessibility: ADA Seating, Elevators, and Accessible Entry

The Gtech Community Stadium features 138 wheelchair spaces supported by companion spaces, including 14 for away supporters. Home spaces are located in the South and East stands at midlevel, with West and North stands having a mixture of midlevel and pitch-level spaces. The stadium is fully accessible to wheelchair users. All 23 accessible toilets have been made stoma-friendly (for the 2024/25 season), clearly signposted with RADAR locks.

All food counters have been designed at a height to make them fully accessible for fans in wheelchairs. Note that Kew Bridge station is not step-free; Brentford station, located just 1 mile from the stadium, is fully accessible. The venue also has a sensory room available. Supporters with accessibility requirements should contact accessibility@brentfordfc.com in advance.

Gtech Community Stadium Seating Guide: Best Seats for Away Fans

As an away fan visiting Brentford's ground, you will find yourself in the East Stand. You will not completely occupy the stand, as only a small section is devoted to visitors. The away allocation is around 1,600 for league matches, increased to around 2,000 for cup matches.

Away fans typically sit in blocks N120, E117, E116, E115, E218, E217, E216, and E215. Away fans enter through gates H, G, and F in the East Stand, and the view of the pitch from this part of the stadium is excellent. The modern stadium means there are no supporting pillars in the middle of the stand, so there are no restricted-view seats.

The upper tier of the East Stand gives you a slightly elevated angle that makes reading the game easier — particularly useful if you're watching a high-press team where shape and space matter. The lower tier puts you closer to the action and more able to generate noise with your fellow away fans. Neither is a bad seat; it's genuinely one of the better away ends in the Premier League for sightlines.

Gtech Community Stadium for Away Fans

The general experience at Brentford is: good journey, nice ground, friendly atmosphere — and that tracks with what most visiting fans report. The Brentford faithful are passionate and loud, but not hostile in the way some grounds in this division can feel. The atmosphere in the away end offers limited food and drink options, but very good value, especially for London. One thing first-timers don't expect: the way the steep stands trap the crowd noise. The steep inclines and proximity to the pitch create an intense match atmosphere and excellent acoustics — meaning that when Brentford are flying and the home end gets going, it feels disproportionately loud for a ground this size. The quirky, asymmetric rooflines — presumably determined by planning restriction requirements — add to the sense that this ground was genuinely wrestled into existence rather than just dropped onto a greenfield site. Come expecting a proper football atmosphere, not a sanitised Premier League theme park.

Getting Out of Gtech Community Stadium After the Game

By Train: Brentford advise against away fans using Kew Bridge station post-match. Any fans who do choose to use it will have to walk round from Capital Interchange Way and up Lionel Road South to join the same queuing system as home supporters. The smarter move: catch the number 267 bus from outside Kew Bridge overground station, which travels up the main road and stops very close to Chiswick Park Underground station — where there are very few football fans — and then take the District Line back toward central London.

Gunnersbury Station: Gunnersbury offers both District Line and London Overground connectivity, but it will not open until an hour after the final whistle, and even then queues are likely as access to the small platforms will be restricted on safety grounds. Not worth the wait unless you have absolutely no other option.

By Car: If you drove, expect to sit for 20–30 minutes before the surrounding streets start to clear. The M4 is close, but so is every other fan trying to reach it. If your car park is north of the ground, the Chiswick Roundabout is your fastest exit to the North Circular.

By Rideshare: There is no official taxi drop-off space near the stadium; the closest pickup is on Capital Interchange Way. Surge will kick in immediately post-final whistle. Walk ten minutes toward Gunnersbury or Chiswick Park and request your Uber there — you'll pay half the price and wait half the time.

The one opinionated tip: Wait 15 minutes in the concourse after the final whistle and let the initial crush clear, then walk to the 267 bus stop rather than fighting your way onto a packed Kew Bridge train with every home fan. You'll be on the District Line at Chiswick Park in under 20 minutes, ahead of anyone who stubbornly queued at Kew Bridge.
